My heart is still racing, my hands are still shivering as I record this but I just saw the Cockroach Janata Party protest turning violent. A big crowd was on the main road and they were moving towards police barricades, they were trying to jump through police barricades and you can see they also have lathis. Many of them have gone completely unruly and they... Thank you. We just, what? Keep recording, keep recording. So the police, you can see that these people, these protesters, they are, oh God. These protesters are throwing bottles at the police. You'll see they are hitting rapid action force and police forces. Oh God. Let's go away. Let's go away. We can't be here. There's tear gas shelling that we can feel here. This tense situation happened on one of the most critical main roads of the national capital. It's cannot place on that side. This road is right outside Jantar Mantar. This is the Parliament Street, the Sansad Marg where this happened. And we have seen in front of our eyes. It actually breaks my heart to say this but I seen in front of my eyes now They were attacking police personnel unprovoked I still feeling scared saying this here because somebody might hear me and I might face consequences for this but I'm just telling you what I saw. I'm out of that violent situation now and I can tell you that there was a stone pelting from the side of the protesters. They were throwing stones everywhere. We were also there and we felt so scared for a moment that we didn't know when we might get hit by stones. We saw stones flying all over. Some of them I'm seeing hitting security forces with sticks. So first a big group of the protesters was trying to move towards barricades. Then all of them charged in one direction, creating a stampede-like situation. Then some of them were lathi-charged by the police. And once these protesters started hitting police personnel, we saw some people looking like Nihang Sikhs who came in and started hitting protesters, seemingly to protect the security personnel. And then amid all of this, the police fired more than one round of tear gas shells. You can see that many of these people who were attacking security personnel had their faces covered. A few hours after this incident, the Kokro Janata Party founder Abhijeet Dipke said that the people behind this violence were not student protesters, but they were goons sent by the BJP. And while this was happening, there were CGP volunteers who were trying to control the crowd while leaders were not present at the spot when this violence broke out.
