From the report
I think we are all very concerned about Sonam Vangchu's Detroiting health. He has been on a hunger strike, I think it's his 25th day maybe. So I think he should conclude his hunger strike and, you know, then move forward to another form of protest, that's what I think. But at the same time, I think that we should not back down from this moment. Because we have enough numbers, so many students are coming here from different, different parts of India, and they are coming here with this same resolution, that we will continue our fight till our demands are met. So I think at this stage, what we should demand is not just promises or paperwork, none of that. What we want is action. And that action should begin with the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan until and unless he resigns. None of us should back off from this stage. People gathered here are not coming here just for one person, not just for CJP people, not just for one person named Abhijit Dipke, for Sonam sir, for Neha, for any of us. I think this has now become a collective movement. We are standing with the same resolution that we are not going to back off. These kind of assurances the government can make but we need some action right now. So do you think if tomorrow Wang Chuk were to appeal to protesters to now finally give up the protest go back and agree to the discussion in parliament do you think protesters will listen to him I think there would be one section who would listen to him. But I think even like I would personally request and appeal Wang Chuk sir to reconsider his decision to actually think about how trustable this government actually is. How much can we rely on them? How much can we trust their words? because even he knows, because last time when he was protesting at Ladakh, what we saw that this same government, they put NSA on him, they sent him in jail and he was kept in jail for many months. So that kind of government is currently in power in this country and none of the people who know actually the reality of this government can trust him. And I would appease Sonam sir to reconsider this decision and to actually lead the movement from here onwards. and so many students and youth who are coming from different parts of the country look up to him as their leader. And I think it is high time that not just, you know, we should not even stop at the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. I think this sentiment which we can see at Janta Mantar, this is against this fascist government. This is against the rule of BJP and RSS who has been ruling in this country by the policy on divide and rule.
