An extremely disturbing piece of news coming in from the RML hospital where injured protesters were admitted. These are protesters who got critically injured during police brutality at the CJP's Sansad Chalo march yesterday. And a 20-something year old girl named Sakshi is currently critically ill and she is admitted in the ICU here at the RML hospital. I spoke to her mother and her brothers. They are extremely disturbed and they are unwilling to speak on camera. But they say that doctors are telling them that she is very critical and that she may need ventilator support as well. That's how serious the situation is. She is a student here and her family says that they did not know that she was going to participate in this protest. And she got injured during a stampede-like situation that happened due to police lathi charge and tear gas shelling yesterday at the CJP sunset chalomaj. In fact there were multiple reports of the police indiscriminately lathi protesters and firing tear gas shells In many cases it was completely unprovoked In fact in most cases it was unprovoked when these protesters were trying to march towards the parliament building There were police forces deployed in large numbers trying to block these protesters and they unleashed violence on all these peaceful protesters. And this girl is critically ill. So you can imagine how brutally she got injured amid police brutality yesterday. Leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi also visited the girl's family. The girl is from Delhi. She is from the Dwarka area of Delhi. There are reports of Union Health Minister J.P. Nanda also visiting the girl's family here. All the other injured protesters who were here have all been quote-unquote discharged by the hospital. Most of them have been sent to their homes. Many of those people who were from outside Delhi, some people from Bihar for example, they have been asked to leave from the hospital even though they didn't have their homes here. Right now it's only that one girl who is currently lodged at this hospital in the intensive care unit at RML.
