Thousands join CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, chant 'Justice For Wangchuk.'

If anybody thought that Sonam Vangchuk being hospitalized is going to weaken the Cockroach Janta Party's protest, then this is the reality. Thousands of people are here at Jantar Mantar today, just hours after Sonam Vangchuk was forcefully picked up by the Delhi police and hospitalized. Crowds have swelled up now in support of Sonam Vangchuk and they are demanding justice for Sonam Vangchuk. These are the kind of crowds that we have not seen till now at this protest. This protest has been going on for the last 29 days now and we have covered this protest almost every day. At least we have not seen so many people at this protest till now. You can see thousands of people coming here despite seeing the police using action. In the morning, the Delhi police forcefully picked up Sonam Vangchuk, forcefully hospitalized him. They say the way Sonam Vangchuk was taken away was like kidnapping. During that, they also beat up some protesters. Some protesters were injured. So while you might expect such action to instill fear in the hearts of these protesters, the complete opposite seems to have happened. The Kokro Janata Party has cleared up this stage now. There's nobody on this stage because it was Sonam Vangchuk's place. Abhijeet Dipke is also sitting somewhere else for his hunger strike. But while Vangchuk's bed might be vacant right now, this void that has been left with him being taken away from his bed has created a flood of people at Jantar Mantar now.
