Did the youth’s pressure get Sonam Wangchuk’s ‘anti-national’ tag removed?

The government actually convincing Mr. Sonam Banchuk to end his hunger strike, going to the hospital to get him to end his hunger strike is a big change in the government stand. Because remember, this is the same government that had tried to paint this very man as a Chinese agent, as a Pakistani agent, as a CIA agent, as an anti-national and whatnot. This is the same government whose senior leaders and spokespersons were spreading doctored videos of Mr. Sonam Banchuk, revolution in India. This is the same government that put Mr. Sonam Banshuk in jail for six months under the stringent National Security Act even when they could not present any strong proof against him. This is the same government that ignored Mr. Sonam Banshuk when he used to sit on several weeks long hunger strikes in Ladakh. This is the same government that got Mr. Sonam Banshuk forcefully hospitalized, picked up by the Delhi police behind white sheets from right here at Jantar Mantar. This is the same government whose leaders started a campaign saying that Mr. Sonam Banchuk is getting foreign funding, he has violated FCRA laws, all to paint him as an anti-national. This is the same government whose MPs have even said that Sonam Banchuk is a part of the Aam Aadmi Party and he wants to derail the nation's progress. That same government then sending some of their senior most leaders to Mr. Sonam Banchuk to talk to him, to accept all his demands and to get him to break his hunger strike shows us that the government really wants to mend ways now. And the youth of this country seems to be behind this It was easy to ignore Mr. Sonam Banchuk till now, but now the government also saw that more than a lakh people turned up for this protest that Mr. Sonam Banchuk added to. The government saw people's outrage over Mr. Sonam Banchuk's hunger strike continuing while the government stayed silent. So this move actually shows us the power of this voice that's being raised here at Jantar Mantar, the power of the number of people that showed up, the power of people's pressure. Because all of that pressure seems to have changed an anti-national to make him somebody wants to talk to.
