Will the CJP Movement Become Modi's Anna Moment?

Modi is someone who benefited from the Anna movement, where the people really came out in protest and the corruption, anti-corruption movement gained traction across India and that eventually led to the downfall of the UPA. Do you think this could be that moment for him? Important thing is that this is a protest which is non-violent. and the first hunger strike is being accompanied by street protest. It's not a CJP versus BJP protest. I am just reminded of two photos which struck me. One over the Janthar month when police are lathi charging and youth turns defiant and says, come on, beat me. So it's a kind of Gandhian way of offering your second cheek when you get slapped on the first cheek. The Gandhian protest with useful anger. The second visual which struck me was in Bihar when the youth is mocking the police that have you come prepared with tear gas or water cannons? It is a moment where certainly the government in power and the prime ministers all total control and attempt to strike a bargain people of India around this notion that I will give you your Vixen Bharat eventually it has been completely de-legitimized completely and entirely de-legitimized he may stay in power what he does and how he continues to govern is going to be very hard because the people are not interested in the Jadoo that he had spun earlier they've seen it and they are not interested anymore this shows that despite offering of your rupees food grain, all this offering all sorts of basic, very basic needs meeting the one-third voters basic needs. You are not being able to quell their anger, subside their anger. That's a larger challenge. Many, many, many self-goals, demonetization, GST, and building and further entrenching this crony capitalist economy that is only serving the interests of one, two, or three, but mostly just one and two and three come on the side. It is not delivering. You give us some nice roads, you've given us some UPI, it is not delivering. That is what is very clear. No political party in India today, And frankly, all of us as a community of intellectuals, of public actors, those who contribute into the public sphere, none of us have an answer.
